Serving Instructions

Serving – We recommend serving our hams at room temperature.  They are best served this way because warming excessively tends to dry them out.  To bring to room temp, simply set the product on the counter (from refrigerated state) for about 2 hours before you plan on serving.  If the ham is in a frozen state, then thaw them slowly in the fridge for about 2 days. If you must warm them, do so very gently by wrapping in foil and heating at a very low temp (no more than 300 degrees) for about 30 minutes.  Again, the product will lose moisture when doing so, so please heat sparingly.

Carving – To remove the slices, run a sharp, pointed knife around the bone.  If whole slices are larger than you wish the servings to be, cut along the fat line and make smaller portions.  Check out this video for a quick demo on removing the slices from your ham. 

Shelf Life – The hams last only about a week in the fridge, due to the lower salt content.  Leftovers can be kept past this point by freezing within manageable, zip lock style bags in your freezer.
